Description
We love to bring pieces of Indonesia to your home!
Puti and Erick handcrafted this ceramic coffee cup by hand pinching technique. They are produced in limited series, in their studio in Ubud, Bali.
The mug fits 200 ml of your favorite Indonesian coffee. Each ceramic coffee cup from Bali is different! So the shades of the batik ribbon may vary as well as the color of the mug itself.
For this series, we have experimented with natural clay from the rice field in front of Artaderau Studio, giving a rough texture to the cup and traces of the explosion of the iron from the soil.
We chose the ‘Parang Rusak‘ batik pattern for this first series. The pattern recalls the waves and the infinite movements of the sea. The line of the parang shapes an S and has no beginning either an end. It symbolizes unity, family, and Humans’ connection to Nature.
